30-Day Book Challenge: Day 17 – Favourite Quote from Favourite Book

Day 17: Favourite quote from your favourite book.

This was SO hard to choose from!! But I managed to narrow it down to one, amazingly.

“Despite your best efforts, people are going to be hurt when it’s time for them to be hurt.” –Haruki Murakami, Norwegian Wood.

The quote I’ve shared is something that I have become intimately associated with over the course of the past few years, and I believe in it with every ounce of my being. Sometimes, people need to get hurt to grow up and move forward, particularly when they need a lesson in their own fortitude, which oft times they don’t even realise they have.

Thank you so much for visiting me today. Until next time, keep reading and keep otakuing. 💜

    • I don’t know if I’d call it fate, but I do believe that sometimes pain is a necessary way to grow up and obtain strength, or even a means for a person to realise just how strong their fortitude really is. I say this from personal experience and what getting hurt did for me.

      • I feel you. It’s definitely a struggle. But my experiences have taught me that things do eventually get better. Sometimes it’s just difficult to see that when shit is so bad and has been for long periods of time. I’m going to hope that things look up for you soon. 💜💜
