30-Day Book Challenge: Day 19 – Favourite Book to Film Adaptation

Day 19: Favourite book turned into a film.

I’m going to choose the Japanese live-action TV adaptation of Erased, which is a seinen manga series written by Kei Sanbe. I felt that the TV serial did an excellent job of capturing the suspense and overall essence of the manga, with a much more fitting finale to it than the anime adaptation. I know it’s not a film, but there hasn’t been a film adaptation for a book I like, so I went with this!

Thank you so much for visiting me today. Until next time, keep reading and keep otakuing. 💜

  1. I loved the anime right up to the last couple episodes. The conclusion made little sense and was generally unsatisfying.

My best book to film? I am going to really date myself. “2001: A Space Odyssey”

    I’m sorry Dave. I can’t do that.

  2. Glad to hear that the series does the manga justice. I was actually okay with the anime’s finale, so I wonder how this show’s ending compares.

  3. That’s a good choice! I really enjoyed that show myself as well, and thought it was well done. The acting was very good too! 😊😊
