The 30 Days of Gratitude Challenge: Day 18 – Personal Traits

Day 18: What trait do you have that you are most grateful for?

My ability to write succinct synopses for books or other media I consume. Recently, while working on my first query letter, I’ve obtained a brand-new appreciation and respect for just how bloody difficult this feat can be. It took much practise, and I appreciate that I can finally do this.

I know this isn’t necessarily a trait, but I wasn’t sure what else to put here. If I had to choose something more like a physical trait, I’d have to say my hair. It’s finally really long and it’s always been a dream of mine to have what most people refer to as “Mermaid Hair” in terms of length (goes past my bum now).

If it’s more of a personality trait, then I would go with my propensity for keeping things neat (i.e.: my OCD). My house is so clean because of it and it brings me tons of joy to be blessed with an environment like this.

  1. These are some good traits to have! I wish my hair would grow. It’s super frizzy and curly and doesn’t seem to grow past my collarbone. You’re so lucky to have mermaid hair! And you’re a very good writer. I think it’s great that you’re using your strengths to blog and have found your passion here in the blogging world ❤️

Also, I wish my house would stay clean. Have you seen the show Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners (full episodes are on YouTube)? I watch that show to give me motivation to clean. It’s also a guilty pleasure since I watch it all the time 😂

    • Thank you so much. I blame my dad as he has super straight, thick, course hair. My mum’s is similar to yours, frizzy and curly. But she likes having curly hair. I tried it once and I had no idea how to style it (not that I’m much better with straight hair, it’s either in twin braids or a single braid, lol).

I haven’t seen that show! I have a feeling my roommate would probably put me on it, at least from the sounds of it. I’m definitely a compulsive cleaner. I’ll have to look it up. 🙂
