My 10 Favourite Shōjo Manga Covers!

One of my favourite things about reading shōjo manga, aside from the fluffy romance and feel-good vibes, are the covers! Most shōjo manga volumes tend to have beautiful, aesthetically pleasing covers that make you want to grab it off the shelves and take them home with you immediately. I will confess that shōjo cover buying is something that I am guilty of, and I will also admit that thus far it hasn’t let me down!

To celebrate my love of shōjo manga covers, I wanted to share with you my most-loved covers of all-time! It’s just going to be a short and sweet appreciation post for ten of my favourites from ten serials that I can’t get enough of. ♥

Orange by Ichigo Takano (Omnibus Volume 2)

Natsume’s Book of Friends by Yuki Midorikawa (Volume 21)

My Love Story!! by Kazune Kawahara & Aruko (Volume 11)

Yona of the Dawn by Mizuho Kusanagi (Volume 14)

Say I Love You by Kanae Hazuki (Volume 18)

My Little Monster by Robico (Volume 12)

The Ancient Magus’ Bride by Kore Yamazaki (Volume 4)

Skip Beat! by Yoshiki Nakamura (Omnibus Volume 4)

Black Bird by Kanoko Sakurakōji (Volume 18)

Dreamin’ Sun by Ichigo Takano (Volume 3)

What are some of your favourite shōjo manga serials?

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me today! Have a beautiful day. Until next time, happy reading and happy otakuing! 🌴

  2. Yona and Natsume are my favourites. My sons are reading through My Love Story and they both love it. I should probably read it too. Also, hi cousin, I miss you.

  3. Oo nice idea for a post cover art is one of those oft overlooked aspects of literature that can really tie the work together. Huzzah!

  4. I don’t read much shoujo, but the Orange covers are so soft and simple. They convey that feeling of fleeting moments and the sad passage of time so beautifully!
