Happy Tuesday afternoon, chums! Check it out, I got nominated for another Sunshine Blogger Award, this time courtesy of Nicole from Nicole’s Book Thoughts! She’s a great book blogger, so if there’s any readers out there, definitely take the time to check out her blog space.
Anyhoo, without further delay, let’s get this shindig on the way (ooh, I rhymed; coffee is doing wonders already, woot).
The Shiny Rules:
- Thank the human who nominated you and share a link to their blog so folx can visit them – Nicole’s Book Thoughts.
- Answer the 11 questions created by the Nominator.
- Nominate 11 bloggers of your choosing and create 11 questions for them to answer in turn. (I’m skipping this bit since I semi-recently did one of these a couple of weeks ago).
- Share the rules and logo on your award post or on your blog somewhere.
Nicole’s Curious Q’s:
1.) Are you a morning or a night person?
I’m definitely not a morning person. My go to mood when waking up anytime while the sun is out is crankiness until I’ve had about two cups of chai, even then I’m not the greatest company. So, I suppose that makes me a night human. My friends joke about how I’m basically a vicious vampire due to the rigidness of my dedication to having and maintaining a nocturnal schedule.
2.) What’s a place you’ve always wanted to go (in the world or fictional)?
In the world, I’d love to do a tour of Polynesia as a way of reconnecting with my islander roots with the last stop being Fiji Islands (my homeland) where I would spend time completely immersing myself in my iTaukei culture. For fictional places, I’d love to visit the Lhazaar Principalities, which is an island nation in the world of Khorvaire in the Eberron universe.
3.) What are you current TV shows?
I’m re-watching The Witcher, Elementary and NCIS. New (to me) shows that I’m making my way through slowly include The Umbrella Academy, Hannibal, Anjaan: Special Crimes Unit, and Black, which are all available on Netflix.
4.) What was your childhood dream?
My first dream was to become a professional race car driver (mum vetoed it), and my second was to become a criminal defence lawyer just like my Bhaiya (life vetoed it).
5.) What is your favourite type of weather?
Rainy and stormy. The rainier and stormier, the better.
6.) Do you write posts head of time or publish the day you write?
It depends on the post. For my Self-Care Sunday posts, for example, I create a basic outline of how I want the post to be structured and write up very brief points to discuss, along with their significance to the discussion. This is my typical method for prepping for long reviews and discussions. These posts, I liked to have “prepped” at least a few days to a week in advance. All other posts, I will outline, write, and publish on the same day, or I’ll wing it as long as I have the right kind of writing music for the topic of focus.
7.) What is one thing you could not live without?
My cats, which is technically four things, but to me they are all a package deal. I would die for my cats and cannot imagine a life without these four delinquents. They are my life, my heart, and my soul.
8.) What’s your favourite part about having a blog?
The discipline and the creative challenges; I love them equally.
9.) Hot or iced coffee?
I prefer masala chai, but if that isn’t available, then hot coffee always.
10.) Who/what is your inspiration?
My Bhaiya (brother) and Kheb (my cow-esque son).
That does it for this round of sunshiny shenanigans. Again, I’m going to pass on the nominating portion of the award since I did that fairly recently, however. If you are interested in being tagged, let me know down below, and I’ll create a story-centred questionnaire for ya.
A big thank you to Nicole for nominating me. I’m grateful for the award and appreciate the support. ♥
